Our Mission
Happy Tiles 2 You offers personalized instruction for game enthusiasts. We can have lessons in your home or we can find a location that works for all players.
Beginner class size is limited to 5 players. Refresher Course is limited to 8.
The cost in includes all instruction time and game notes.
My goal is to teach you to play Mah Jongg using NMJL rules so that you can play anywhere and with anyone.
Strategy Class addresses all of your unanswered questions and helps you to understand the game from setting up your rack to which hand to choose if you cannot decide.
My Mah Jongg Story
In the late 90's I met someone who was learning to play Mah Jongg, I asked about joining her for lessons. Her reply to me was that this game was too "hard for me to learn". Well that set me on a journey. In 2003 I finally was able to find time to learn. I found myself at a local synagogue taking lessons from an amazing teacher. I then joined a group of women in McKinney who played games of all sorts, I started a Mah Jongg group and since 2006 I have been teaching women to play. I have been playing with my Mahj Sisters now for 22 years and counting, playing our weekly game and I have participated in many local tournaments. I want everyone to learn what I have, Mah Jongg is not hard and it is about the sisterhood and fellowship that is the greatest part of the journey. My goal for you is to not be intimidated by the game and you leave with a comprehensive understanding of the game. Happy Tiles 2 You and I look forward to meeting you.
